St.Eustatius
St. Eustatius is a small island located 33
miles south west of the coast of St. Maarten in
the Caribbean Sea. On the island you find the
famous Quill, which is
an extinct volcano.
Besides climbing you can also explore the
underwater sights by means of scuba diving. Old
wrecks, pinnacles and large variety of
underwater species can be found in shallow
waters off the coast. There are three dive
schools on the Island with professional
instructors. They offer advanced as well as
beginner's courses and regular dives up to three
times a day. The marine park protects the waters
around the Island.
They have won a Caribbean
Travel and Life Eco award and
charge a small fee
per dive to upkeep the park.
