THE HOTEL

14 rooms surround the garden and fresh water pool on the cliff side. Each room is airconditioned has Cable TV, direct dial phones and private bath rooms. The main building of the Hotel houses the beautiful old bar that we call the Mooshay Bay pub. the building is an old ware house build from handmade bricks that were brought to Statia ballast on the colonial ships. It was used to house Sugar, cotton, indigo and all other supplies that were needed and tradable inthe New World. The atmosphere you find and experience in the bar is absolutely unique and one of a kind in the Caribbean. The rest of the buidling houses the lobby were you can sit back and relax ovrlooking the blue waters of the Caribbean Sea. The Dining room and Kitchen are also in the main building and having candle light dinner at the Poolside including a great glass of your favorite wine is spectacular! You will totaly unwind and renew your senses with the culinairy delights made by our Chef. Fresh Lobester are caught almost every day in the season and fresh fish like Red Snapper, mahi-Mahi and King fish is brought in daily by our local fisherman.

The management of the Old Gin House is in hands of Gabor Ligtlee and Wendy Reindsen They will make you feel welcome and will attend to all your whises. The rest of the staff is made up of local statians who will be happy to  share their stories with you about their Island and why they think its so special.
